Loneliness Awareness Week 2024
At Fearless Adventures, we recognise that founding a business can be a lonely journey at times, whether you are a solo founder, co-founder, big team, or a very small team. Bearing the weight of responsibility and risk can feel isolating.
That's why it's important to dedicate time to and prioritise human connection to support your wellbeing and, subsequently, your personal and venture performance.
Here are some ways in which you can buffer against loneliness as a founder:
Build a Support Network: Surround yourself with mentors, peers, and advisors who understand your journey and can offer support and guidance.
Join Founder Communities: Participate in online or local groups where you can share experiences, seek advice, and connect with others in similar situations. At Fearless Adventures, we are focused on building out a supportive and authentic founder community that we would love you to be a part of.
Schedule Regular Social Interactions: Carve out pockets of time to nurture relationships with family and friends and engage in social activities.
Seek Professional Help: Don't hesitate to talk to a therapist or counsellor who can provide a safe space to discuss your feelings and develop coping strategies.
Practice Self-Care: Engage in activities that are meaningful to you and support your wellbeing, such as exercise, meditation, or hobbies you enjoy.
Set Boundaries: Ensure you have and implement clear boundaries, and ensure you are resting and recovering to avoid burnout and maintain healthy relationships.
Entrepreneurship is not an easy journey, but it doesn't have to be a lonely one.

Small Business Spotlight: Grace & Green
Introducing our small business spotlight Grace & Green . One of the UK's first organic, independent period care companies.
Founder Frances Lucraft Lucraft decided to start the company after a decade of working in water and sanitation, witnessing firsthand the devastating impact period products have on our water systems. This experience led to the creation of Grace & Green, with its mission founded on three pillars: sustainability, access, and education.
Grace & Green is a world-leading B Corp that produces zero-waste reusables and consciously crafts tampons, pads, and liners with organic materials, prioritizing both your body and the planet. In addition to building an ethical and sustainable period product brand, Grace & Green also fights for access, inclusivity, and education, dismantling barriers to essential care because dignity shouldn't come with a price.
